JEFFREY EPSTEIN

Jeffrey Epstein has been Director of Chicago Portfolio School since founding the program in 2000. He has been a Creative Director and Copywriter in New York, Chicago and Detroit. Agencies include Leo Burnett, Scali McCabe Sloves and TBWA, New York and Doner, Detroit. Accounts include Anhueser Busch, Nikon, Volvo, McDonalds and Miller Beer. He has won numerous awards for his work including One Show and CA. While working in New York, Jeff taught portfolio classes at the School for Visual Arts.

ALISA WOLFSON

Alisa has worked in Chicago for the past 12 years. She has done work for Crate and Barrel, Columbia College, Archeworks, The Peninsula Hotel, The Joffrey Ballet, Einstein Brother’s Bagels and Coca-Cola. Alisa has also worked for VSA Partners as a Senior Designer and Interface as a Design Director. She studied Art History at Michigan State University and completed post-graduate work at the Yale Summer Program in Switzerland. She has been recognized by the Type Directors Club of America, AIGA, Critique Magazine, Print Magazine and CA. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. She is also the Design Director for Lampo, a nonprofit that presents experimental intermedia events.

CHRIS MONTWILL

Chris, a graduate of Chicago Portfolio School, is a Junior Art Director at Hoffman York working on Advocate Healthcare, Fifth Third Bank, WGN Radio and Weber Grill Restaurants. He currently teaches weekly computer classes and holds design style execution classes in his spare time. He has no claim to fame other than he got to hold Meg White’s iPOD. It had a lot of Led Zeppelin on it.

CURTIS ANDERSON

Curtis teaches Photoshop classes throughout the year. He graduated from the Illinois Institute of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media Arts and Animation. He freelances everywhere.

JOHN SCHMIDT

John is an accomplished Creative Director with vast experience in consumer advertising and graphic design. He has worked on Kellogg’s, Deebler, Luvs, Pert Shampoo, Hallmark, McDonald’s, Milk Duds, Jolly Rancher Candy, Fisher Price, Aunt Jemima and Kleenex Brand Tissues.

MICHAEL RONZANO

Michael Ronzano, Director of Design at Which Came First?, began his career in design at Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill, the international architecture and engineering firm. After leaving SOM, he went to work for two New England-based design firms, the Brownstone Group and Nautilus Design. In 1988, he moved to New York City, helping to launch International Design and Advertising, a design-marketing business. Leaving ID & A in 1990, he founded Full Stop, a design and writing consultancy, with offices in Chicago and Washington, DC. In 2003, he merged Full Stop with Alpha One, to form Which Came First? Over the years, his clients have included Scott Paper, the New England Journal of Medicine, Digital Equipment, Managed Healthcare Strategies and Harvard Healthcare.

TIM JOYCE

Tim Joyce has been working as a performing artist for over 25 years as an actor and stand up comic, and has been published and produced several times as an author and playwright. Recently his play “Diner Tales” was produced by Raven Theatre in Chicago, where it received a Jeff Recommendation from the Joseph Jefferson Committee. Tim has acted in over 20 Shakespeare productions as well as performing stand up comedy from coast to coast. As a comic he has been seen at the LA Improv, Zanies in Chicago, and Comedy On Broadway in New York City. His television comedy credits include ABC, Comedy Central and several Fox Affiliates. He is co-author (along with Carl Kozlowski) of the humor book “Life The Final Frontier”; a spoof of the self help genre that was published by Andrews McMeel, the same publishing house that distributes “Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff.” He has also published several articles and poems with various periodicals and journals. He lives in Chicago with his wife Connie and their Hurricane Daughter Jessica.
